SUM UP

Brazil seemed to be taking the right course to reduce deforestation in the Amazon but according to records from the non-profit Amazon Institute of People and the Environment (Imazon), deforestation increased in 2013, affecting 5,891 square kilometers.
World leaders at the United Nations Climate Summit in September 2014 created a document that proposed reducing deforestation by half by 2020. Brazil went out of that document.
If the government does not change its policies, the situation could have significant consequences. “If deforestation goes back up, we will have a troubling rise in carbon dioxide emissions."

OPINION
Everybody knows the more CO2 you throw away, the worst will you feel, I know Amazon it is a very good way for Brazil to grow up, but not always the shorter road is the better one.
From my point of view, if Brazil, Colombia or any country wants to grow up, they have to improve at technology, because you can sell knowledge to another countries, and it is very well-payed, also it is useful for everybody and the it is posible that hope of life can progress.
By this way you can kill two birds with one shot.
